At Christmas 2018 we joined with churches all over the country to Follow the Star and discover the reality of the God who became part of the human story. Here are some of the events through which we made that journey and invited everyone to join in.

Switch to solar

Christmas at Christ Church 2017
The Christmas message in three words: God With Us. At Christ Church we celebrate Jesus’ birth and all that it means in a variety of ways and for all age groups: lively and reflective, young and old. Our hope and prayer is that everyone may find a way of relating to God more closely, at Christmas and throughout the year.
Birmingham Marathon 2017
It was a long but exciting day as the first Birmingham International Marathon passed us along Pershore Road, followed by thousands more runners in the Half-Marathon. We were there to support the race, enjoy the atmosphere and greet spectators and runners.
Summer Drop-In 2017
On a few days each August, when most regular activities take a break, we open our building to provide play, company, crafts and more for adults and children. It’s a great opportunity for people of all ages to find company and enjoy the activities, whatever the weather.
Art Group: The first 5 years
When Steph Evans ran a short “hints and tips” art course she never imagined that it would turn into a valued weekly activity at Christ Church. Now, 5 years later, she is standing down as leader of Art Group, but the group will continue to meet informally on Friday mornings.
CAP Money Course 2017
“It’s frightening when your income is much less than expenses.” Cheryl has experienced financial ups and downs herself but has learned how to take control of her finances. Here she explains why she is to co-leading the CAP Money Course. The next course starts in May.
Great Birmingham Run 2016
The day of the Great Birmingham Run began with heavy showers but the sun was coming out by the time the race started. Christ Church members and friends were there to encourage the runners, provide hospitality for spectators and take part in the race.

Christmas Arts and Crafts Fair 2015
This year’s Arts and Crafts Fair featured an exhibition by the Art Group and a wide range of stalls offering an opportunity to admire, try and buy a wide range of crafts. Over £900 was raised, to be shared between two excellent causes.
