Lunch Club Craft Fayre 2014
An exhibition by the Art Group was one of the main features at this year’s Craft Fayre. The Lunch Club team, led by Phil and Beryl, brought many different church groups and outside organisations together in one event which attracted a steady stream of visitors. Over £800 was raised which will benefit children in Kenya and Tanzania.
Freedom from Torture
There are victims of torture right here in Birmingham, many seeking asylum from the regimes that tried to silence them. We learned about what can be done to help them and discussed some of the wider issues in a Café Church session led by Amy and Jill from the charity Freedom from Torture.
Slum Survivor
Young people spent a night and a day living in temporary shelters to learn about the experience of a billion of the world’s population.
Great Birmingham Run 2014
There was music, cheering, applause and food for runners and spectators as the Great Birmingham Run passed our front door on a sunny Sunday morning in October.
Frere family in Kenya 2014
The Frere family spent 3 weeks in Kenya building on the links forged in last year’s Youth Encounter visit, enjoying many memorable experiences and discovering some specific needs that the rest of us could help to meet.
Soul Survivor 2014

Summer Drop-In 2014
On a few days each August, when most regular activities take a break, we open our building to provide play, company, crafts and more for adults and children. We welcomed well over 100 guests to each of our three sessions in 2014.
New Wine Summer Gathering 2014
A 6-strong group from Christ Church spent a week at the New Wine Summer Gathering in Somerset. This annual event includes praise, worship, teaching, seminars, prayer, healing and more, all with a focus on how God is changing people and communities.
First World War Commemoration
In the centenary year of the outbreak of the First World War, Christ Church members were invited to contribute family memories. These stories are a reminder of the human cost of the war and its legacy for succeeding generations.
