Switch to solar
Christ Church switched to solar power at the end of October 2018 after a generous legacy allowed us to install panels on the roof of our building
Christmas at Christ Church 2017
The Christmas message in three words: God With Us. At Christ Church we celebrate Jesus’ birth and all that it means in a variety of ways and for all age groups: lively and reflective, young and old. Our hope and prayer is that everyone may find a way of relating to God more closely, at Christmas and throughout the year.
Birmingham Marathon 2017
It was a long but exciting day as the first Birmingham International Marathon passed us along Pershore Road, followed by thousands more runners in the Half-Marathon. We were there to support the race, enjoy the atmosphere and greet spectators and runners.
Summer Drop-In 2017
On a few days each August, when most regular activities take a break, we open our building to provide play, company, crafts and more for adults and children. It’s a great opportunity for people of all ages to find company and enjoy the activities, whatever the weather.
Art Group: The first 5 years
When Steph Evans ran a short “hints and tips” art course she never imagined that it would turn into a valued weekly activity at Christ Church. Now, 5 years later, she is standing down as leader of Art Group, but the group will continue to meet informally on Friday mornings.
Loved for Life
Loved for Life, running over the first two weeks of June 2017, was designed as a celebration: of God’s love for us, of the difference it makes in our lives, and of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the congregation that became today’s Christ Church. It was also an invitation to everyone to discover God’s love for themselves.
Thy Kingdom Come
Thy Kingdom Come is a global prayer movement which invites Christians to pray for more people to come to faith in Jesus. Christ Church is participating in a programme of events along with other churches in South Birmingham.
